This render was pretty simple, lights played the biggest role here lights behind her no shadow, lights in front shadow, fewer shadows means less rendering time.

As for the beam, in photo shop I cut this area out of the original background, lined it up over the beam, gave it a little transparence then erased the areas of the beam I wanted fully exposed and surprise the beam is buried.

The only other areas I did outside of poser was to paint a little dust and the hair extending out of the hood.

Now the background was a different render all together I used Terragen and Photo Shop here.

And that's it, pretty simple.
